Chocolate Care & Posting FAQ
Our Hand-Painted Chocolate Bars... Your Questions Answered
Is the paint on the chocolate safe to eat?
Yes. We use food-grade colouring to hand-paint each bar. All ingredients used in our decorating process are suitable for consumption. If you have a specific allergy or dietary requirement, please check the allergen information on the individual product page before ordering.
How should I store my chocolate?
Store your bar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours. A consistent room temperature is ideal. Avoid storing chocolate in the fridge, as condensation can cause the surface to bloom (develop a white haze) and may affect the painted finish.
What is the shelf life?
The best-before date is printed on each bar's packaging. As a guide, our bars are intended to be enjoyed within the timeframe shown on your order. For the best flavour and appearance, consume before that date and avoid exposing the bar to heat or humidity.
What happens to the chocolate during postal transit?
We pack each bar carefully to protect it in transit. Chocolate is a natural product that can be sensitive to temperature and movement, so we recommend treating your order as a priority upon arrival. If your bar arrives damaged or the painted finish has been significantly affected, please contact us with a photo within 24 hours of receiving it and your order number and we will do our best to help.
Can I send a bar as a gift by post?
Yes!!! our bars are a popular gift choice. We recommend choosing a delivery option that minimises transit time and avoids leaving the parcel in a warm location. If you have any special requests for gift orders, add a note at checkout.
Do your bars contain allergens?
Our chocolate bars contain allergens including milk and soya. Some bars may contain traces of nuts and gluten. Full allergen details are listed on each product page. Please review these carefully before ordering if you or the recipient has any food allergy or intolerance.
