Hind Rajab was 6 years old. On Jan 29, 2024, her family’s car was shelled by Israeli forces in Gaza. Trapped inside, surrounded by the bodies of her loved ones, Hind called for help.
She stayed on the phone with medics for hours, whispering “Please come get me. I’m scared.”
She wanted to be a doctor when she grew up. Her favourite colour was pink.
Rescue teams received clearance to save her. But both Hind and the medics who tried to reach her were killed. She was found in the car, amongst her other deceased relatives.
As Wissam, Hinds mother awaited some news of her daughter, she held the little pink bag she was keeping for her. Inside the bag was a little notebook Hind used to practice her handwriting.
Hind was 6 years old. Hind’s favourite colour was pink.

Hyderabadi Pooran Bar
A passionate reimagining of the Hyderabadi pooran poori. Slow cooked Bengal gram, gently perfumed with bloomed Kashmiri and Irani saffron, freshly ground cardamom, rich ghee, brown butter, and a trio of sugars, studded with slivered almonds. Encased in a white chocolate shell, layered with double baked croissant shards to echo the flaky poori, crowned with a saffron brown butter crunch of lotus biscuit and cardamom caramelised salted almond bits, and finished with a dark chocolate seal.
